Maybe you haven't heard, but Team USA skier and native Minnesotan Lindsey Vonn announced her retirement from competitive skiing last week on her Facebook page.
With the news about Vonn news coverage surrounding her career and her decision to hang up the skis was through the roof last week, that includes the news outlets that might have tried a little too hard to sensationalize the story.
Cue the DailyMail.
In an attempt to cover the story, the DailyMail pushed out a story with graphics highlighting some of Vonn's recent and horrific injuries that might have played into her decision to retire. One problem, the x-rays that they featured were not of Lindsey's torn up knee, but that instead of her dog's surgically repaired need and an x-ray that is pretty clearly of her other dog's paw.
