Nebraska and star WR JD Spielman have mutually parted ways...GO GET HIM PJ!

Nebraska v Colorado

Minnesota football fans are probably familiar with former Nebraska WR JD Spielman. For one, he's the son of Vikings GM Rick Spielman and played football locally here for Eden Prairie. Secondly, he's been a beast against the Gophers in his collegiate career causing matchup problems up and down the field tagging Minnesota for 20 catches and 277 yards in three games.

Monday, it was announced that Spielman and the Cornhuskers "mutually" parted ways allowing the senior WR to enter the transfer portal and open recruiting once again.

The Gophers have a void to fill after Tyler Johnson was drafted by Tampa Bay and is in the NFL. Spielman had more production than Johnson last season and would fit the P.J. Fleck offense nicely.

He would likely have to sit out one season unless he were able to land a waiver to play in 2020.

It seems too good to be true, but man P.J. Fleck is on a roll when it comes to recruiting right now!
