Up until now he was the only player who had not reported to Minnesota Vikings Training Camp and following the news of his release this afternoon, it's clear that Jeff Gladney's time with the team is done.
Gladney found himself at the center of an assault investigation this last April in Texas and today he was formally indicted in the case.
The Vikings wasted little time quickly releasing the former first round draft choice following the news.

Eagan, Minn. (August 3, 2021)–Following our review of today’s indictment against Jeff Gladney, we have decided to release Jeff immediately. As we have previously said, we take these matters very seriously and condemn all forms of domestic violence. Due to the ongoing legal nature of this matter, we are unable to provide further comment.
