Former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce revealed the surprising reason for his unique ESPN debut wardrobe during the live broadcast of Monday Night Countdown.

Kelce, 36, was seen wearing a tight, plain white, long-sleeved dress shirt, which Monday Night Countdown host Scott Van Pelt claimed "he got at the mall because he left his travel bag in the truck" at home.

"It fits my belly now, I've lost a little bit of weight but my tits are still struggling," Kelce joked.

A clip of the comment was shared by ESPN's official X account, which caught the attention of Jason's brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

"Surprised he bought a new one and didn’t just go shirtless," Travis wrote, acknowledging his brother's viral moment at the Chiefs' Divisional Round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in January.

Kelce was officially announced to join ESPN in May, two months after announcing his retirement.

“I did my due diligence, you want to make sure you’re really looking at things, talking to people that are knowledgeable in the industry — neither one of us have ever done something like this. Throughout the whole process, meeting and talking to everyone over at ESPN, it became apparent that it was really the right fit and at the end of the day, something that I’m really, really looking forward to this next phase,” Jason said during an episode of his and Travis' New Heights podcast earlier this year.

Kelce is one of the most celebrated players in Eagles history, starting at center in all 193 games of his 13-year NFL career, including the franchise's lone Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl LII, while being selected as a first-team All-Pro six times (2017-19, 2021-23) and Pro Bowler seven times (2014, 2016, 2019-23).
