Stugotz is beside himself after the Nebraska Cornhuskers only had four players on the court at one point late in their Sweet 16 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes last night. He simply cannot understand how that could ever happen, especially with so many assistants on the bench who could have been assigned the simple task of counting to five.
John “Stugotz” Weiner: “There are a million people on these college basketball benches, okay, including the players. How about a count coach? How about a coach whose responsibility it is to just make sure they have five players on the court at all times? We have them in lacrosse. I'm certain we have them in football. Just somebody, anybody on that coaching staff who is sitting around doing nothing, make sure you count: one, two, three, four, five.”
