Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield announced he will play out this season in Tampa and take his chances as a free agent next season if they cannot reach a deal on an extension and DP thinks he’s proven he’s worth the investment.
Dan Patrick: “He's a bargain right now. I don't know what he's asking for…Baker Mayfield's gonna get paid. Now, you want to pay him three years, 150 million dollars, 120 million guaranteed, whatever it's going to be? I mean, this is a division that is up for grabs. And if you're Tampa, you might lose Vita Vea, and that's a big loss too, but with Baker Mayfield, the numbers are there. He put up good numbers, came in and replaced Tom Brady.”
