The story of the NFL Draft over the weekend was Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders’ epic fall to the fifth round where he was finally picked up by the Cleveland Browns. And while it made for some compelling coverage of the later rounds for the NFL, it couldn’t have been fun for Shedeur himself and the expected social media backlash accusing the NFL of a conspiracy to “humble” him has erupted. Dan reminds the conspiracy theorists that the cutthroat nature of the NFL means no GM would pass on a player who might help them win games just to make a statement.
