Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "extremely" disappointed after All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett was cited for speeding last weekend.

"Coming from a team leader, extremely disappointing," Stefanski said prior to the Browns' joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday (August 13) via ESPN. "It's been addressed with Myles -- with the football team. He needs to slow down for his safety and the safety of others."

Garrett, 29, was reportedly driving 100 MPH in a 60 MPH zone in Strongsville, Ohio, just after 2:00 a.m. local time on Saturday (August 9), according to public records. The incident took place hours after the Browns' 30-10 win against the Carolina Panthers in their preseason debut.

Video footage obtained and shared by TMZ Sports shows Garrett's gray 2014 Ferrari being pulled over by an officer. The interaction was cordial and resulted in the Pro Bowler being given a $250 ticket that can be paid without having to make a scheduled court appearance on Thursday (August 14).

Garrett has been cited eight times for speeding since being selected by Cleveland at No. 1 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and was involved in a serious accident in which his vehicle flipped in 2022. The citation also came months after rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders -- who made his first start in the Browns' preseason win -- was cited twice for speeding in a 12-day span.

Garrett and the Browns reached a record-setting contract extension in March, weeks after he publicly requested a trade, which will include $123.5 million in guaranteed money and an average annual salary of $40 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported at the time. The former Texas A&M standout has been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL throughout his NFL career, having been selected as a four-time First-team All-Pro, a two-time Second-team All-Pro, a six-time Pro Bowler, and the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Garrett has recorded double-digit sacks during each of the last seven seasons, which included 14 sacks in 2024, matching the same total from the previous season.
