While Doug Gottlieb may agree that the Lakers overpaid for Anthony Davis, he wonders what choice they had. They simply had to find a way to get AD in a Lakers uniform if they were to have any chance to attract free agents and make a run at the title. While they may have overpaid, the alternative would have been far worse.
